Build Volt Norge's Financial Foundation

Volt Norge runs entirely on membership fees and voluntary donations. No corporate backing, no state funding beyond what Norwegian party law provides — just people who believe Norway deserves a genuinely European political voice. To grow, to campaign, to show up at political events, and to put our message in front of Norwegian audiences, we need a sustainable fundraising operation. Right now, that operation doesn't exist. You'd build it.

This is one of the most important roles in Volt Norge. As Fundraising Team Lead, you won't be managing an existing team or strategy — you'll be creating both from scratch, supported by onboarding and best practices from Volt Europa's pan-European network.

About Volt Norge & Volt Europa

Volt Norge is the newly founded Norwegian chapter of Volt Europa — Europe's first truly pan-European political party, with over 42,000 members and parliamentary representation across three countries. We were officially registered as a party recently and are in active early-stage growth. Learn more at voltnorway.org.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design and implement Volt Norge's fundraising strategy from the ground up

  • Identify and pursue fundraising channels suited to a non-profit political movement — member campaigns, donor outreach, events, grants, and more

  • Recruit, onboard, and lead further fundraising volunteers as the team grows

  • Coordinate with other departments (communications, HR, events) to align fundraising with organisational needs

  • Draw on onboarding resources and best practices provided by Volt Europa

What We're Looking For

  • Some prior experience in fundraising, donor relations, non-profit finance, or a closely related field

  • Ability to work autonomously and build structure where none exists yet — this is essential

  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills

  • Leadership mindset: you're comfortable eventually managing a small volunteer team

  • Proficiency in English (Volt Europa's working language) & Norwegian

  • Approximately 2–4 hours availability per week (or as much as you can volunteer, we do not track time)

  • Interest in European politics and civic engagement

What You'll Gain

  • Fundraising Strategy – End-to-end experience designing and executing a fundraising operation for a political organisation

  • Non-Profit Finance – Practical understanding of how a volunteer-driven political party sustains itself

  • Team Leadership – Experience recruiting and managing volunteers in a cross-border, remote environment

  • Stakeholder Coordination – Working across departments and with Volt Europa's international network

  • Political Impact – Your work directly determines what Volt Norge can afford to do

This is a fully remote, async-friendly volunteer role with real organisational weight behind it.
